HEARTFUL 2018 Sponsors Needed
Heart of the City Mission Foundation, Inc (HOTC) was formed in 2010 to serve as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 umbrella corporation for several existing, stand alone, non incorporated, inner city pro-grams. Collectively, these programs serve the inner city families of Fort Wayne, Indiana with a focus on providing life skills mentoring and education for financially disadvantaged children and youth.To help accomplish this, the HOTC board members and planning committee have been busy, and are excited to announce our upcoming event on March 8, 2018. “HEARTFUL 2018” will be a special evening at Sweetwater Sound that will include cocktails, dinner, live auction, and an opportunity for attendees to leave with their hearts full, knowing they’ve helped contribute to HOTC’s ultimate goal of breaking the cycle of generational poverty.
The main focus of our programs is on children and youth, but approximately 25% of HOTC efforts also directly help low-income adults of all ages and no-resource adults who are usually homeless. These individuals often represent second and third generation poverty households and are raising young people in those households to see themselves with a worldview colored by generational poverty. Some of the HOTC success stories have been in the making for 5-10 years.
We are currently seeking event sponsors and live auction donors to help us reach this year’s event goal and continue to serve the heart of our city and community.
